The Santa Cruz Symphony, in collaboration with the Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus and four renowned vocalists, is set to deliver an extraordinary rendition of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Mass in B minor on Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 PM at the Civic Auditorium in Santa Cruz. Preceding the performance, a pre-concert talk will commence at 6:30 PM.

On Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 PM, the transcendent performance will take place at the Henry J. Mello Center in Watsonville. Prior to the concert, a pre-concert talk will begin at 1:00 PM.

This masterpiece, hailed as one of the greatest in Western classical music, will showcase the vocal prowess and harmonic brilliance of the Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus, led by Cheryl Anderson, alongside the exceptional talents of guest soloists.

Contralto Sara Couden, soprano Hera Hyesang Park, bass-baritone Christian Pursell, and tenor Andrew Stenson will captivate audiences with their sublime voices, under the baton of Maestro Daniel Stewart. The performance promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the 2023-24 classical concert series.
