Sculptor, teacher and psychologist Coeleen Kiebert is the focus of a new exhibition titled “Art & Spirit” at the Pajaro Valley Arts Gallery in Watsonville. Kiebert, who earned her master’s degree in psychology at UC Santa Cruz, has been making art, writing and teaching in the Monterey Bay region for decades, and the “Art & Spirit” show examines her legacy with displays of art from her many students over the years.
On Sunday at 1 p.m., Kiebert will be on hand to deliver a free talk titled “Art & Spirit, an Approach to Art as Personal Voice.” The following Sunday, April 6, also at 1 p.m., Kiebert returns to the Watsonville gallery to lead a workshop for artists titled “How a Doodle Becomes a Great Work of Art.” The exhibition’s closing reception takes place May 4, all at the PVA Gallery, 37 Sudden St., Watsonville.
